Does Kiro Have Code Completions / Auto Complete?

Ryan ChiangBy Ryan Chiang (@ryanscio)

Does Kiro have code completions like Cursor or Github Copilot?

Short answer: Yes, but you need to enable it.

Kiro is AWS's new agentic IDE built around spec-driven development. Best of all, it's entirely free for now, so it's a no-brainer to use.

Like Cursor, it is a fork of VSCode. But unlike Cursor, its code completions feature is disabled by default.

To enable Kiro's auto complete feature, you can find it in the status bar at the bottom of your window.

Kiro Auto Complete

Open it and click "Enable autocomplete" to get up and running.

How to Enable Kiro Auto Complete

So yes, Kiro does have autocomplete code completions.

This is a boring, trivial post but not mentioned in Kiro's docs!

So hope it helps.
